I was born in 1957, and grew up in Saluda, S.C.
In 1973, I embraced Jesus Christ as Savior/Lord.
In 1993, I preached my Trial Sermon, and received my license to preach, from Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
In 1997, I joined the Saluda County Ministerial Association, and became one of nearly two dozen Saluda County pastors and ministers who shared several chaplaincy ministries in rotation.
These chaplaincy ministries included writing an article for Saluda's weekly newspaper, the Saluda Standard-Sentinel, in the Column, Weekly Meditations from The Saluda County Ministerial Association.
Within a few years, I became solely responsible for the column.
In December, 2015, health issues forced me to relinquish these chaplaincy ministries.
In October, 2016, I briefly resumed writing the column, until computer issues forced me into another indefinite leave-of-absence.
I have long wanted to post my articles on this website.
That dream is finally becoming reality.
